Instrument Pickup

Select instruments can be picked up instead of shipped. Below are all the terms and conditions.

Eligible Products

The following products are generally eligible for in-person pickup:

  • Made-to-order Alchemy, Gongland, or Oetken gongs

  • Beyond Percussion crystal bowl sets

  • Schlagwerk products

  • Some gong and bowl mallets

Pickup Locations

Eligible products can be picked up at one of the following locations:

  • The Soundbath Center, Los Angeles, CA (exact address provided upon scheduling)

  • Private Studio near Joshua Tree, CA (exact address provided upon scheduling)

Scheduling Pickup

  • Notification: Once your eligible product arrives at the selected pickup location, you will be notified via email with the next available pickup time slots.

  • Availability: Pickup time slots are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Time Window: Each pickup appointment is assigned a 30-minute window. You must arrive within this window to collect your product.

  • Confirmation: You must confirm your pickup time slot at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to confirm may result in the slot being released to another customer.

Pickup Deadline

  • Products must be picked up within 14 calendar days from the date of arrival notification.

  • If the product is not picked up within this period, a storage fee of $10 per day will apply, up to a maximum of 30 days.

  • After 30 days, unclaimed products may be considered abandoned, and Beyond Percussion reserves the right to resell the item. No refunds will be issued for abandoned products.

Missed Pickup Appointments

  • First Missed Appointment: If you miss your scheduled 30-minute pickup window, you will be charged a $25 rescheduling fee to book a new time slot. 

  • Second Missed Appointment: If you miss a second scheduled pickup window, in-person pickup will no longer be available. You will be required to arrange and pay for shipping of your product to your designated address, plus an additional $25 missed appointment fee. Shipping costs, including handling fees, will be calculated based on the product’s size, weight, and destination.

  • Rescheduled Appointment: If you need to reschedule your pickup time, you may do so one time without a fee, provided you give us at least a 24-hour notice. Rescheduled appointments without a 24-hour notice incur a $25 rescheduling fee. 

Additional Requirements

  • Identification: You must present a valid government-issued photo ID at pickup. The name on the ID must match the name on the order.

  • Authorized Pickup: If someone else is picking up on your behalf, you must notify us by email at least 24 hours in advance, providing the full name and contact information of the authorized individual. They must also present a valid photo ID.

  • Condition Inspection: You are responsible for inspecting the product at the time of pickup to ensure it meets your expectations. No returns or exchanges will be accepted after the product leaves the pickup location.

  • Large Items: For oversized or heavy items, you are responsible for bringing adequate assistance and transportation to safely load and transport the product. 

  • Gongs: If you did not order a bag with your gong, bring blankets to wrap your gong in. 

Policy Updates

Beyond Percussion reserves the right to update this pickup policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated via email, posted in this help center or website.
