Instrument Purchasing Policy
Return and Exchange Policy
Beyond Percussion permits returns or exchanges for most unused crystal singing bowls, non-made-to-order gongs, and other items, provided they are in their original packaging and returned within 5 days of delivery. A 20% restocking fee applies to all returns and exchanges. Certain items, including pre-ordered or made-to-order instruments, are non-returnable, non-exchangeable, and non-cancelable. Items picked up are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded. Customers are responsible for inspecting items before leaving the premises.
Shipping costs for returns or exchanges are the responsibility of the customer. Refunds, minus the 20% restocking fee, are processed after the returned items are inspected and verified to be in an unused condition and in original packaging. Items showing signs of use or lacking original packaging will not be accepted. All sales are subject to Beyond Percussion's discretion to ensure compliance with this policy.
Damaged or Defective Items
If an item arrives damaged or defective, customers must notify Beyond Percussion within 5 days of delivery, providing photos of the damage. Beyond Percussion will review the claim and, at its discretion, offer a repair, replacement, or refund, subject to availability and verification. Failure to report damage within 5 days may result in denial of the claim.

Made-to-Order Gongs – Terms & Conditions
Made-to-order gongs (e.g., Gongland, Alchemy, and Oetken gongs) are non-returnable, non-cancelable, and non-refundable once the invoice is paid. Delivery typically takes 3–4 months, though delays may occur due to the handcrafted nature of the product. Beyond Percussion does not guarantee specific delivery timelines. Customers picking up gongs must provide a gong bag or protective cover, as gongs picked up are not supplied in boxes. If a gong bag is not purchased, customers must bring a blanket or other protective wrapping for safe transport.
About Handcrafted Gongs and Other Instruments
All gongs and other handmade instruments, such as those produced by Schlagwerk, are individually crafted, resulting in unique characteristics. Manufacturing marks, including slight discolorations, hammer marks, or minor imperfections, are inherent to the handcrafting process and enhance the instrument’s distinctiveness. Gongs are measured in centimeters and converted to inches for U.S. customers, with potential size variations of up to 1 inch due to artisanal production.
Similarly, other handmade instruments may exhibit variations in aesthetics, sound, or texture due to their unique, handcrafted nature. These variations are not considered defects, and Beyond Percussion does not offer refunds, exchanges, or cancellations based on differences between handmade instruments or deviations from customer expectations regarding their unique qualities.
Shipping Policy
In-stock items are typically shipped within 2 business days of payment clearance, though processing may take up to 7 business days during peak periods. For orders within the continental U.S., delivery generally occurs within 5–7 business days following shipment. Expedited and international shipping options are available, but specific delivery dates are not guaranteed. All shipments require a signature upon delivery to ensure secure receipt. Beyond Percussion is not liable for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs processes, or other external factors beyond its control.
Storage Fees
If an instrument, such as a gong, remains unclaimed for more than 7 days after the scheduled pickup or shipping date (due to unpaid shipping invoices or missed pickups), a storage fee of $75 per week will apply. This fee must be paid in full before the instrument is released. Beyond Percussion reserves the right to dispose of unclaimed items after 30 days, with no refund issued.

Limitation of Liability
Beyond Percussion is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the purchase, use, or inability to use its products, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss of income. All products are sold “as is,” and customers assume all risks associated with their use.
Warranty Disclaimer
Unless otherwise stated, Beyond Percussion provides no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Any manufacturer warranties, if applicable, are the responsibility of the customer to pursue directly with the manufacturer.

Force Majeure
Beyond Percussion is not liable for delays or failures to perform due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, labor disputes, supply chain disruptions, or governmental actions.
