Practice Event Assignment

To complete the course, you must complete a total of 10 practice events. Below you’ll find what qualifies as a practice event and how to complete each one. Review the requirements before your first event so nothing is missed, then follow the steps below for each event you facilitate.

Overall Requirements for Practice Events

Each event you facilitate must include all six of the following requirements to count toward completing your practice event assignment. Events that do not meet all 6 requirements do not count towards your 10 practice events.

  1. Be facilitated solely by you (no collaboration or additional modalities).

  2. Minimum duration of 1 hour using only the CGCGC Playing Template.

  3. Use the minimum required instruments for the course (one 30” or larger gong and 3 crystal singing bowls with at least one in the 3rd octave).

  4. At least 5 attendees.

  5. Be registered via an online platform (e.g., Eventbrite) with an event registration page that includes all event details (date, time, location, event description). Keep the event registration pages active until after certification is awarded. If we cannot verify your event through the link you provide at any time before you obtain certification, your event will not count towards your 10.

  6. Event details submitted in your Account Dashboard before the event (Plan Event), and an Event Assessment completed after the event.

Steps for Each Event

  1. Create an event registration page on a platform such as Eventbrite. Include the event date, time, location, and description. Your event can be free or paid. Your event page must be publicly accessible and must remain active until you complete your certification. Please note that your event ticketing page must be on an approved platform that we can easily view after your event.

  2. After creating your registration page, go to your Account Dashboard and click Assignments. Under Practice Events, click Plan Practice Event. This button appears only after you have submitted your Technique Practice assignments. From there, you will create and download your Event Assessment Form and receive instructions for collecting attendee feedback. Be sure to complete this step well in advance of your event to allow time for any unexpected technical issues.

  3. Facilitate your event, ensuring it meets all six requirements. Afterward, share the QR code or feedback link with participants. Feedback must be submitted within 3 days of the event.

  4. Complete your Event Log and Event Assessment after each event.

  5. After completing 10 qualifying events, submit your Event Log and all Event Assessments in your Account Dashboard.

Event Verification

To maintain the integrity of the program, students may be asked at any time to provide proof of their practice events, including attendee counts and event details.
